Residency

As small business owners and creatives ourselves, we know firsthand how important it is to have access to resources, support, and community as an artist. That's why we created this residency program - to give back to the Houston creative community and support the next generation of talented photographers.

We believe that art has the power to connect people and inspire change, and we're dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all creators. Our residency program is open to photographers at all levels of experience, and we welcome applications from a diverse range of backgrounds and perspectives.

What we look for

To apply for our residency program, applicants must submit a portfolio that showcases their skills, vision, and creativity. We're looking for photographers who are passionate about their craft, have a unique perspective, and are eager to push the boundaries of what's possible with photography.

Your portfolio should demonstrate your technical abilities as well as your artistic vision. We're interested in seeing a range of work that reflects your interests and experience, from past projects to works in progress. We also encourage you to include a brief statement that describes your artistic practice and goals, as well as any other information that you think is relevant to your application.

Please note that our residency program is highly selective, and we currently have only three resident positions available. This allows us to provide individualized attention and support to each resident, as well as ensure a collaborative and engaged environment among our participants.

What we give

• Residents have the flexibility to book three 4-hour studio sessions at any time during their residency. This allows for maximum creativity and productivity while accommodating busy schedules

• We understand that your creative work doesn't always fit neatly into a predetermined schedule. That's why we offer our residents a 20% discount on any additional studio bookings they may need beyond their four allotted sessions. This is just one of the ways we aim to support your artistic practice and help you achieve your creative goals during your residency.

Please note that the application deadline for our residency program is April 29th, 2023. We will begin reviewing applications immediately and notify selected residents by May 20th, 2023.

Our program runs from June to August, providing residents with a three-month period of dedicated time and space to focus on their photography practice.
